WARRANTY AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

In these conditions Specialist Frame is referred to as “the company”.  The name on the order confirmation is referred to as “the customer”.
All orders placed online are a binding contract between the customer and the company.  Cancellation or change to the order will only be accepted up to seven days after the order has been placed.  After this date no refunds will be given. The company does not offer a return policy.  The company is not responsible for any errors due to mis-interpretation of the web site or incorrect product or category choice.
Delivery is deemed to be the front of the delivery address on the order confirmation.  The unloading of the vehicle is the customers responsibility.  If there is no one present at the delivery address to accept the delivery the delivery will be re-scheduled and will be subject to a re-delivery charge. All health and safety precautions are the customers responsibility.  At no time will the company be liable for loss or injury of any kind.  All goods when received will be deemed delivered in good order unless stated at time of delivery.  No claims will be entertained after the delivery for damaged or missing items.  The company is not responsible for any delay to the delivery out of the companies control, or any relating financial or consequential loss.  The company is not responsible for the installation or instruction of how to install the products supplied.
The warranty is to supply replacements for faulty parts only no labour.  The customer will order and pay for the replacement part including carriage.  On receipt of the faulty part the company will inspect the part and if the fault is due to faulty manufacture will re-inburse the cost of the part (not carriage) to the customer. 
 
Double Glazed Unit Ten Year Warranty
If within ten years from date of delivery any unbroken double glazed unit is through faulty manufacture affected by visual obscuration due to condensation within the airspace we will supply a replacement unit.  All carriage costs will be borne by the customer.  Where replacement units are supplied, they will be of our standard type of product current at the time of replacement.
The double glazed unit warranty does not cover:

  • Consequential damage or loss arising from the glazing of a replacement unit except in so far as the restoration of such damage or loss falls within the rights of the owner/occupier under common law or statute.

  • Units which have not been stored, installed and maintained completely in accordance with the instructions laid down in the glass and glazing federation glazing and maintenance and the profile manufactures glazing instructions.

  • Units displaying the optical phenomenon seen as interference colour bands known as “Brewsters Fringes”.   

Hardware Ten Year Warranty
If within ten years from the date of delivery any hardware becomes faulty due to defective materials or design the company will provide a free replacement subject, to the original part being returned to the company and the fault being confirmed. All carriage costs will be borne by the customer.  The company will not be liable for any other losses incurred by the customer arising from the hardware failing whether such losses are direct or indirect or consequential.
The hardware warranty does not cover:

  • Mechanical faults caused wilfully or negligently, or to the surface finish of the hardware or covers.

  • Hardware not maintained in accordance with the manufactures guidelines 

  • Hardware that has failed due to the incorrect fitting of the doors or double glazing units within the doors.
